ABOUT THIS SITE

Oklahoma is celebrating her centennial in 2007. As a means of celebrating this momentous occasion, this page has been created to provide one Oklahoman's view of Oklahoma scenery.

All 77 county courthouses are photographed. The majority of Oklahoma  cities and towns  have town signs and water towers. One can view photographs many signs and water towers.

Many Oklahoma towns have interesting murals painted on the sides of downtown buildings. There dozens of these beautiful pieces of art.

Art created from bales of hay are popular in Oklahoma. This site offers photographs of hay bale art.

As one travels the highways and byways of Oklahoma he/she will observe many pieces of antique farm implements. Herein are dozens of photographs of these antiques in various states of repair.

This site is a work in progress.  As time permits, I will be adding many photographs of Oklahoma scenery, including more town signs,  water towers, murals and farm implements.  Later, I plan to expand the site to include a listing of Oklahoma place names as well as some interesting items of Oklahoma history.

Comment: This box doesn't seem right. I would like to link to this page but don't know if I should. What do you think?

TOUR DE 77 OKLAHOMA COUNTIES

In October of 1993, I took a tour through each of the 77 counties in Oklahoma in a  1977 Oldsmobile. I  traveled 2953 miles and saw 310 cities, towns and villages. I collected a sample of soils and a sample of rocks form each county.

The following link is a partial pictorial account of that trip.
