David graduated from William Carey College in 1970 with a BA in
 Biblical Studies.  He received his Master of Divinity from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in 1974. He received his Doctor of Ministry  from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in 1995.

He Is currently pastor of the Watonga Indian Baptist Church in Watonga, Oklahoma. He has served as pastor of Indian Baptist Mission in Seiling, OK; First Baptist Church in Elmore City, OK; First Baptist Church in Dewey, OK. and the Indian Baptist Church in Watonga, OK.  He also served as the Director of Missions at the Grady Baptist Association in Oklahoma.

David has served on several denominational boards, including the Board of Directors for the Baptist General Convention of Oklahoma (SBC),  the Oklahoma Baptist Homes for Children (SBC), and  the Board of Directors of the American Baptist Central Region (ABCUSA). He currently serves on the Board of Trustees for Bacone College in Muskogee, Oklahoma and is a member of the Coordinating Council of the Cooperating Baptist Fellowship of Oklahoma.

He has been a moderator of the BaptistLife Discussion forums since March of 2000.
