Rev. Timothy Bonney is the Senior Pastor of the First Baptist Church
of Des Moines, Iowa. Rev. Bonney began his ministry at FBC on August
29, 2004.
He graduated from Missouri Baptist College in 1986 with a BA in
Biblical Studies and Behavior Science. He received his Master of
Divinity from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in 1990.
Before coming to FBC Des Moines, Rev. Bonney served in congregations
in Indiana, Illinois, and Missouri. He has also been involved in ABC
regional and national work having served six years on the ABC General
Board and the Board of International Ministries as well as the ABC
Nominating Committee, General Board Executive Committee, and the
International Ministries Executive Committee.
He is currently a member of the Board of Directors of the Roger Williams
Fellowship, the RWF Webmaster, and a member of the Steering Committee
of the Coalition for Baptist Principles.
